on job hunting

I've been needing this reminder a lot lately.  Last week I found out that I will be out of a job, come June.  Through an outrageous combination of circumstances, I am now looking for my fifth job in 18 months.  Needless to say, it sucks and I'm a bit stressed.  It can be difficult to remember that it has absolutely nothing to do with me.

Anyway, in the last few days, I've happened by some interesting job-related tidbits...

- An article on how The Resume is Dead
- A Ted Talk about The Learning Revolution during which Sir Ken Robinson says,

"Very many people go through their whole lives having no real sense of what their talents may be, or if they have any to speak of."

which I found very thought provoking.

Other people have so many talents and gifts (and are just so full of awesome) that it is hard to narrow them down and translate all that on paper . . . .LOVE YOU LIZZIE! I have to say - it hit me in a completely different way when you said you were doing this again for the 5th time in 18 months. Perservere, and BREATHE my dear, and know that you have so many rooting for you : )
