I'm thinking I want this bike.
(Well, I really would like this bike, but I'm trying to be a little realistic.)

ALERT ALERT
Before reading on... Prepare yourself, because below is a link that will blow your mind, a link that will take you straight to heaven, a link you will hand down from generation to generation. Prepare yourself: your life is about to change.
Are you ready?
CLICK ME FOR I AM THE LINK TO END ALL LINKS!!
Okay, did you click? Because I have more to say. But you can't read it unless you clicked. Though, honestly, I know that if you didn't click yet, after all that, there's no way you're gonna click now. And there's no way me saying "you can't read this unless you clicked" will have any effect on you. Let me just say: the link knows. The link knows, and you will pay.
Threats aside, I just want to ask: what one do you want to make? I definitely see fresh fig ice cream and honey ice cream in my near future. and salted caramel ice cream? holy smokes, are you kidding me? If you keep scrolling, there are popsicles that look good too. They definitely look healthier, anyway. I used to care about that sorta thing, but I've decided that...
YAY!! Thank you KELLY for your awesome selections!
p.s. I almost took the ice cream maker out of the freezer. Seriously, 20 minutes ago, I almost took it out to make room for...well, it's not important. Nothing is important anymore. Nothing but ice cream. Making lots and lots of ice cream. (But don't think I didn't notice that divine intervention, God. Really. Thanks for that.)

I recognized him, but I didn't mention it. I wasn't sure if he wished to see that me again. This way, I figured, we'd have a second chance.

Personal Library Kit
I think this project is absolutely adorable! I can't imagine I would ever use it - I'm just not organized enough.
But a gorgeous personal library with a beautiful system such as this makes for a nice imaginary place, don't you think? (You know, a room full of books, with ladders to get to the tippy top shelves, large windows, cushy armchairs, a thick rug... can you see it?)

Guerilla Gardening
Flower Grenades to toss into vacant lots, forgotten areas, barren wastelands. Sure to bring a little cheer to the passerby. Clever out the wazoo, if you ask me.
Throw and Grow, baby, Throw and Grow!

Goethe
I have come to the frightening conclusion that I am the decisive element.
It is my personal approach that creates the climate. It is my daily mood that makes the weather. I possess tremendous power to make life miserable or joyous.
I can be a tool of torture or an instrument of inspiration, I can humiliate or humor, hurt or heal. In all situations, it is my response that decides whether a crisis is escalated or de-escalated, and a person is humanized or de-humanized.
If we treat people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat people as they ought to be, we help them become what they are capable of becoming.

Acaiiiiiii
Another summer staple in my house...
Whisk together all the ingredients, and pour into 9" square (or thereabouts) tupperware. Put container in freezer. Stir mixture with fork every half hour or so, scraping up the frozen bits. When it's firm enough, serve and enjoy! Can be stored for about 1 week.
Guys, this is so delicious! It's sweet and nutty and fruity and light. Mmm. Acai is SO good for you. It has more antioxidants than blueberries, strawberries and red wine combined, and it is high in anthocyanins. These things are proven to fight cancer, heart, disease, diabetes, and then some. Agave nectar is also a great sweetener choice, because it is has a low glycemic index, allowing for only small fluctuations in blood sugar. Nice, right? Right.
(p.s. I had this stuff in Hawaii with granola and fresh fruit -- pretty awesome! They called it an "Acai Bowl." My sister prefers it paired with a little vanilla ice cream.)
Acai Sorbet
- 4 pure acai pulp smoothie packs (4 oz each), thawed (I found this at whole foods by the frozen fruit. Also, I think it's easier to take the pulp out of the packets while frozen and then let thaw.)
- 3/4 cup agave nectar (I do think that it's a bit on the sweet side, but when I lowered the agave, I found that the sorbet didn't scoop very well; it more like crumbled. )
- 2 Tbs lemon juice (I just squeezed in a whole lemon)
Whisk together all the ingredients, and pour into 9" square (or thereabouts) tupperware. Put container in freezer. Stir mixture with fork every half hour or so, scraping up the frozen bits. When it's firm enough, serve and enjoy! Can be stored for about 1 week.
