This truly is a terrible movie. Not even Zooey Deschanel could redeem this for me, but this subplot, and the paintball scenes were indeed the faint bright spots.
Also for the record, seeing this was not my idea, it was a date with someone who really thought Sarah Jessica Parker was great. I know, that should have been a sign that it wasn't going to work out.
Also, if you want to live this experience for yourself, go to the south coast of England. The seagulls there know nothing of sleep.
